Microsoft's G4 Datacenter
Last Tuesday Microsoft revealed their vision for what they are calling the Modular Generation 4 Data Centers and how it will be the foundation of their cloud computing infrastruture over the next five years.
You have to see this video. My only question is...did those trucks drive from Redmond to Europe? ...and if so, did they use Google Maps to get there? More importantly, would Microsoft consider putting those datacenters in Russia? then Sara Palin can keep an eye on them.
But seriously, how does the little guy keep up with these computing giants who plan to deploy semi-truck after semi-truck filled with servers and computing power. Show up in Anywhere USA, or Europe, or Russia and deploy a datacenter. Just plug the trucks in, as if you were plugging in ram chips on an old 286 motherboard.
